Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise.  Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

Teaches undergraduate and graduate accounting courses in one or more of the following areas: financial accounting, cost accounting, taxation, and auditing; engages in high quality research and service to the department, college and university; participates in any other tasks normally associated with a full-time academic appointment.  Evening and online teaching will be required.
Faculty will  have the opportunity to collaborate with the Lehman College based centers and institutes on research and other projects of scholarly interest.


Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent.  Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Accounting  or a closely related field.  If the PhD is NOT in Accounting, at least one of the degrees (Bachelor's or Master's) must be in Accounting.  A CPA certificate and professional accounting experience are preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a proven ability to conduct quality scholarly research and publish in professional journals as well as have teaching experience in accounting.
