FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The candidate will perform teaching, research, and administrative duties in area(s) of his/her expertise within the Department of Physics and the Center for Theoretical and Computational Sciences. He/she will participate in supervisory functions of the Center and will guide and work with students affiliated with the Center. The candidate will contribute actively to the growth of the Center for Theoretical and Computational Sciences by acquiring external funding for its activities and providing research opportunities to students.

Faculty will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Lehman College based centers and institutes on research and other projects of scholarly interest.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Physics with focus on Theoretical and Computational Physics; the ability to teach successfully at the undergraduate and graduate level; and the ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. The candidate must be a highly active, accomplished, and internationally recognized researcher with considerable record of scholarly output and external research funding. The candidate must be able to contribute actively to the growth of the Center for Theoretical and Computational Sciences.
