The position is responsible for delivery of planned workshop programs and for the provision of developmental language and academic literacy support for all university students. Working in collaboration with the Learning Skills Unit Manager and other Learning Skills Advisors, the Learning Skills Advisor will advance developmental academic and study skills resources and explore ideas for materials development throughout a range of media. This position will require a well informed approach to issues regarding the development of higher and further education students’ academic language and learning. Working hours may be flexible depending on the allocation of staff across timetabling demands and students’ availability. Dependent on previous experience and academic achievement, the successful candidate, will be offered an attractive remuneration package including private medical insurance. To be considered for this role, candidates must demonstrate previous experience in providing academic and study skills support, and good awareness of best practices in assessment design and constructive alignment.
