For complete job descriptions, salary, requirements and to apply, please visit https://www.grcc.edu/jobs 518_FA_Academic Advisor, Assistant Professor - Counseling and Career Center - The Professional Academic Advisor works with students for any number of reasons in an appointment and drop-in capacity and maintains documentation of these interactions. This position performs workshops for students, sits on committees representing the department, participates with orientation and admissions events and acts as a liaison to various departments and transfer institutions. The chosen candidate must interact effectively in a fast-paced, high traffic environment and work well with a diverse population of students, faculty and staff. This position reports through the Counseling and Career Center and may be located in a variety of campus locations. The Advisor reports to the Associate Dean of Student Success and Retention. Requirements: Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or closely related field; prior experience working in a higher educational setting that provided career development and occupational interest surveys, academic advising, and/or related services. 519_FA_Academic Counselor, Assistant Professor - TRiO Support Services - TRiO/Student Support Services is a federally funded program that services low income, first generation, and/or disabled students in order to increase their chances of completing, graduating, and/or transferring. The program advisor works directly with students to develop appropriate academic plans and extra and co-curricular support system. This position is a tenure track. The program advisor will work directly with the Program Director and reports to the Associate Dean of Student Success and Retention. This position is grant funded and continuation of the grant is not guaranteed. Requirements: Master's degree and professional licensing in counseling, social work or psychology; Two years of counseling, academic advising and/or TRIO experience in higher education preferred. 520_FA_Counselor, Assistant Professor - Occupational and Disability Support Services - This position provides support to students enrolled in occupational programs as well as students with documented disabilities enrolled in occupational and transfer oriented programs. Services provided include orientation, advising, career and personal counseling for GRCC students. This position serves as a liaison for students with disabilities and classroom faculty, reviews documentation of disability, makes determinations of and helps to implement reasonable accommodations to promote student success. This position works closely with Program Director. Required: Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Counseling or Psychology for Counselor position required, Master’s degree in Social Work or related field for Advisor position required. Licensed Professional Counselor, Limited Licensed Professional Counselor, Limited License Psychologist, or Licensed Psychologist required for Counselor position or Licensed Masters Social Worker preferred for Advisor position; 24 months of counseling and/or academic advising experience in higher education; proven experience in counseling diverse populations both with individuals and groups. 521_ FA_Mathematics Tutorial Laboratory Coordinator - Develop tutoring strategies to meet the needs of a diverse learning population. Supervise and coordinate all tutoring in the Mathematics Tutorial Lab. Recruit, select, hire, train, supervise, evaluate and serve as mentor to professional staff and student tutors/lab assistants. Tutor students individually and in groups in developmental and college level course work. Coordinate tutorial services for math, advanced math and physical science for summer months as needed. Participate in the development and delivery of tutoring training for all GRCC tutors and develop and deliver subject specific training for Mathematics Tutorial Lab tutors. Required: Master's Degree in Mathematics, Math Education, Developmental Math, or a related field with coursework in higher mathematics preferred or completion of same within 24 months of hire. Certification as a Developmental Education Specialist from the Kellogg Institute preferred. Five years experience teaching/tutoring students in Math and Developmental Math.
