•Required: Ph.D. in communication (with a minimum of 18 semester/30 quarter hours in communication), ABD considered. •A primary interest in, and firm commitment to, a student-centered teaching-learning process. •Applicants with successful college teaching experience may be given preference. Responsibilities of the position include •Teaching nine three-semester-hour communication and public speaking courses per academic year, usually five in the fall and four in the spring. Teaching assignments may be day, evening, or weekends, possibly at off-campus locations. •Academic advising, committee work, planning and assessment, other College and community service, and professional development. •Other such duties as assigned by the chair of Communication. A complete application must include (1) a letter of interest with a statement of teaching philosophy, (2) a current curriculum vitae, (3) three letters of reference written within the last three years, (4) transcripts of all college work.
