About The Unit:

Unit Job Summary: Research Specialist will focused on the development of mathematical models using data from cancer clinical trials. Responsible for data acquisition from outside sources, re-organization of the data for purposes of model development, writing code for model development, and conduct of statistical analyses. Prepare summaries of literature related to current research. Assist in the generation of reports, posters, abstracts, grants, research protocols, and articles for a variety of projects.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the research (examples: statistics, mathematics, computer science) required. Advanced degree in a field relevant to the research preferred.

Unit Experience: At least one year of previous research experience required. Quantitative/analytical skills required. Proficiency with using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required. Experience with statistical software programs (particularly R and STATA) required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Problem solving skills required. Attention to detail required. Organizational skills and ability to learn new research techniques or methods required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
