Columbus State University has an opening for a Residence Life Coordinator in the Residence Life Department. Under the supervision of the Director of Residence Life, this position is responsible for the overall management of the residence life program on Columbus State University’s RiverPark Campus, which is comprised of 450 beds and 5 residential areas within the heart of Uptown Columbus. The position is a full-time 12 month live in position. This position is responsible for working with students and staff members to develop a welcoming community that fosters academic success and personal development. General responsibilities include oversight of all residence life operations on the RiverPark Campus, supervision of resident assistants and front desk employees, and enforcement of University rules and regulations. Responsibilities also include regular communication and collaboration with multiple internal departments. The position will participates in all departmental planning and activities, and serves on University Committees as assigned by the Director of Residence Life. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, Counseling, Psychology, or related field is required. The selected candidate must have excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills; an understanding of student development theory and student retention; and the ability to climb multiple flights of stairs and respond immediately to emergency situations. At least two years of full-time experience in residence life is preferred. The salary is commensurate with education and experience.
