The motion analysis center is a core research facility, shared by researchers from the departments of Physical Therapy, Engineering, and Exercise Science. This position will support research and data collection for faculty and staff in these departments. The position will be responsible for supporting research activities in the areas of human motion, experimental biomechanics, validation of assistive devices, and virtual reality. The individual in this position will work with professionals across disciplines and have the opportunity to participate in writing manuscripts and grant proposals.

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanics, or related field.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of motion capture systems and their integration with other devices.
Demonstrated proficiency in one or more computational software programs such as Matlab, Mathematica, Octave, Labview, the Motion Monitor, Visual 3D Motion.
Demonstrated ability read documentation and follow specifications.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated customer service skills, situational awareness, and flexibility.
