Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics
Kenyon College invites applications for a one-year position in the Department of Classics at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, effective July 1, 2014. Teaching responsibilities consist of five courses: a survey of Roman archaeology, another archaeology course on a topic that reflects the candidate’s particular interests, two semesters of elementary Latin, and an advanced Latin course. The candidate’s primary research interest should be in Roman archaeology. A Ph.D. in hand is preferred, but not required. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching.
