Academic Program Coordinator (Online Graduate Programs)

CONTEXT OF JOB: The Academic Program Coordinator will develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor student services for the online MBA program, act as the primary contact for current online students, and coordinate with online graduate faculty, Department Chairs, and the Associate Dean for Graduate & Executive programs to ensure effective program delivery. In addition, the program coordinator will develop, implement, and maintain a social media campaign for the online MBA program and other graduate programs as needed. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Work with Department Chairs and the Associate Dean of Graduate and Executive Programs to coordinate scheduling and staffing of Online MBA courses. • Work with faculty to ensure that online courses are ready for delivery in the appropriate learning management system, that course materials are available to students, that online course evaluations are conducted using the appropriate survey instrument, and that the results are shared with faculty for the purpose of continuous quality improvement. • Develop, implement, and maintain a social media campaign for the Online MBA program and other graduate programs as needed. • Confer with the MBA Faculty Director and MBA Committee to determine curriculum enhancements and new program features. • Advise students on class scheduling issues, ensuring each student is registered in the appropriate classes. • Serve as liaison with academic departments or units in the resolution of day-to-day operational issues. • Make process improvement recommendations and implement approved changes. • Process course transfers and leave of absence requests. • Investigate and resolve day-to-day and other operational problems related to the Online MBA program. • Respond to student inquiries including financial aid, student bills, registration and provide resolution and consultation. • Represent the organization at various events-promote existing and new programs. • Ensure students are in compliance with all university policies and have access to all university. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, education administration, or related discipline and two years of job related experience. Master’s degree preferred. • Familiarity with business education programs is required, and knowledge of University programs is desirable. • Experience using social media for recruitment and advertising is essential. • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software. • Must have outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies on and off campus, including the Registrar’s office, the Office of Graduate and Professional Education, Student Financial Services, Human Resources, and the third-party vendor assisting with the marketing, recruitment, and student retention functions.
