JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates will demonstrate the drive and vision to develop a cutting-edge and internationally recognized research program. In addition, candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Candidates for tenured positions should have a Ph.D. and a record of outstanding achievement evidenced in part by publications in top-tier journals. Candidates for Assistant Professor should have a Ph.D. in finance or a related field, or expect to complete a Ph.D. in the near future, and should demonstrate the potential for excellence in research. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Finance currently has 15 full-time faculty members. The Department offers BS and MS degrees in Finance, and also supports the Department of Economics’ PhD program and the College’s MBA programs. All degree programs are fully accredited by the AACSB. Support for research is excellent, including an attractive teaching load, a one-semester third-year research sabbatical, strong database resources, access to a high-performance computing cluster, and trading laboratory facilities.
