The full-time tenure-track appointment begins in Augusta 2014, and includes teaching undergraduate courses, graduate courses, and various advanced certificate programs. Advising and supervising practicum and internship student placements, engaging in scholarly activity and research, and providing service to the community and profession are expected. The Department of Kinesiology and Health Science is one of three departments in the College of Education, whose programs are accredited by NCATE, the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities. The department offers a BSK with four specialized tracks, BSEd in Health and Physical Education, and MSK. Minimum Requirements Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate (by June 2014) in Exercise Physiology or closely related field. Applicants should have an established research agenda and the ability to seek external funding. It is preferred that applicants have certifications in their field through national organizations.
