Duties: Coordinates and oversees all operations related to the MUDEC program student application process including: student recruitment, accurate maintenance of course offerings in the Academic Bulletin and website, general application review, student eligibility screenings, admission decisions, and pre-departure orientation sessions. Also responsible for the screening, selection, and training of the MUDEC Student Ambassadors. Organizes faculty-recruitment efforts (i.e. open houses, information sessions, application workshops, etc.). Reviews and develops Call for Proposals documentation annually in consultation with MUDEC Committee chair for year-long, sprint course, and summer workshop teaching positions. Provides administrative support to MUDEC faculty appointees selected to teach at MUDEC and reviews financial considerations with appointees on an individual basis. Oversees all aspects of Luxembourg Program advising policies (i.e. academic, conduct, scholarships) and ensures that staff members are trained accordingly to execute these in a student-centered manner. Serves as final approver for application eligibility and scholarship award nominations. Develops innovative, cost effective, annual marketing strategy to promote the Luxembourg Program to prospective student applicants (Miami and non-Miami) to build student interest leading to increased enrollments in the semester and summer programs. Coordinates risk management and crisis response efforts for MUDEC, as well as serves as back-up for all study abroad global assistance program needs. Collaborates with Miami's Alumni and Development Offices to organize and promote various MUDEC Alumni events throughout the year including area-chapter events, Alumni Weekend receptions, special events with the Luxembourg-American Society, and Anniversary celebrations. Editor-in-Chief of the annual MUDEC Alumni Newsletter. Leads the Global Initiatives development efforts. Required Qualifications: Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with relevant experience. Three years of study abroad advising experience (can be accrued during degree program); two years of post-baccalaureate management and/or administrative experience in an international office or program setting; excellent attendance history; superior time management, organization, and communication skills; ability to work with the diverse population of learners; ability to manage complex and multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Desired Qualifications: Experience in working with underrepresented students in study abroad; experience in risk management and crisis response for study abroad programs; prior experience in alumni programming and development; experience in development of global programs and assessment of student learning outcomes and cultural competency; prior experience living or working abroad; French or German language proficiency; familiarity with Banner and StudioAbroad; five years of experience in a study abroad advising, management, and/or coordination role.
