Senior Financial Aid Counselor
Reports to Associate Director for Operations. Under general supervision, the candidate must be able to work independently to perform duties in relation to the Enrollment Services Office and Office of Student Financial Aid. Ability to show initiative, and be able to regularly handle confidential and sensitive information pertaining to students. Must have excellent customer service skills, and be dedicated to providing consistent, high quality customer service to meet the needs of our diverse clientele. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Must have knowledge of Title IV regulations, with a focus on Federal Work Study. Also, must have the ability to assist in multiple areas throughout the office. The candidate must exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks. It is critical to the office that the candidate possess the ability to work in and promote a team environment. The candidate must have the ability to interpret and communicate information based on knowledge of institutional policies, procedures, and departmental considerations. Preferences: Three years of experience working in higher education at a four-year institution.
