The Assistant Director of International Recruitment and Admissions will lead the Office of Undergraduate Admissions’ international recruitment process. Through the development and execution of the undergraduate international recruitment and admission strategy, this position is responsible for the creation and continued enhancement of the international recruitment plan, the research based management of foreign and domestic recruitment territories (including significant international travel) and oversight of the application review process for international freshman and transfer students. The Assistant Director will also lead the development and implementation of an international applicant review process that will align the technology of this review process with the university’s electronic review process for domestic freshman applicants. The Assistant Director reports to the Associate Director and provides supervision to an international advisor. The Assistant Director is a member of the office’s Leadership Council. Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three (3) years experience working in admissions, higher education, or a related field with a focus or interest in international recruitment. Must have demonstrated public relations skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level communication and presentation skills are required and candidates must have acute attention to detail, strong leadership, organization and problem solving abilities. Domestic and International Travel with evening, night, and weekend work are required. A familiarity with immigration procedures and SEVIS, and experience evaluating foreign educational credentials are necessary. The ability to operate effectively in a demanding office environment and to make positive contributions to the office Leadership Council are required.
