Duties and Responsibilities: • Teach undergraduate and graduate applied cello, chamber music, cello literature, and pedagogy • Conduct weekly studio classes • Supervise senior, master’s, and doctoral recitals • Mentor graduate students and supervise lecture recital documents • Participate in a coherent program of creative activity and scholarship with impact at national and international levels • Forge strong relationships with string teachers and prospective students resulting in successful recruitment through service to the profession Minimum Qualifications: • Master’s degree in music • Documented history of exceptional professional activity in cello performance • Proven record of successful teaching, preferably at the university level • Demonstrated ability to attract and retain cello students Preferred Qualifications: • Doctoral degree in music • Active community outreach experience.
