Expected hiring salary range is $53,415 - $70,000.

Minimum Requirements:
1.Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field, and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in financial / budget analysis.

2.Comprehensive knowledge of the relevant regulations and standards to satisfactorily meet reporting requirements for financial activities (e.g., Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and the principles of fund and cost accounting).

3.Demonstrated advance skill and experience using budgets and financial models, charts / graphs, and software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access to extract large and complex data sets from enterprise reporting systems.

4.Demonstrated ability to evaluate project needs, determine approaches, perform analyses, evaluate impact of alternatives, and make viable recommendations that are consistent with sound financial management.

5.Demonstrated ability to function effectively and contribute as a member of a team.

6.Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and analytically with various personnel to identify needs.

7.Demonstrated ability to present ideas orally and in writing to a variety of audiences in a logical manner with supporting documentation.

8.Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize, plan, organize, and complete work assignments in a timely and accurate manner under minimal direction, while balancing competing priorities under tight schedules.

9.General working knowledge of common reporting systems, such as those used for budget, payroll/staffing, personnel, facilities, inventory, and general ledger activities.

10.Demonstrated ability to coordinate, facilitate and chair meetings for the purpose of resolving differences and working toward institutional goals institutional goals.

Preferred Qualifications:
1.Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Master's Degree in business administration or related field.

2.Experience with the pricing of products or services, price elasticity, pricing optimization, cost-benefit evaluations, and market price studies.

3.Experience in providing management consulting and presenting analysis to customers and decision makers.

4.Experience working for the University of California or comparable institution of higher education or similar environment.

5.Working knowledge of University administrative policies and procedures and organizational structures.

6.Knowledge of and experience with UCR's financial and payroll systems.
