Working Title: Program Coordinator- Loans

Job Summary/Essential Functions: The program coordinators in the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office are hired to administer specific financial aid programs and are expected to be the office experts in their programs. Program coordinators must learn and retain a large amount of technical information and be skilled in communicating that information in a coherent and understandable manner to a wide variety of students, parents, faculty, and staff. Program coordinators must be comfortable with public speaking and have adequate presentation skills to fulfill their outreach/public relations tasks.

Conditions of Employment: This position, during the course of university employment, will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 18. Successful applicant will be required to pass a background check. This is an agency shop position.

Required Degree: High school diploma

Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduation or GED

Specific Position Requirement:
Minimum of two years financial aid experience, or a minimum of two years of experience in a finance, accounting, or human resources field.

Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency and/or diversity.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
Experience in financial aid or higher education student services
