Assistant Professor of Biology

Teaching assignment will include instruction in related biological and forensic science courses and laboratories at the associate and baccalaureate level. Additional duties within the Physical and Life Sciences Department will include student recruitment, student advisement, curriculum/course development and college/department service. Applied undergraduate level research and grant writing opportunities are also available and encouraged.
PhD in Forensic Science, Biology, Biochemistry or closely related field required. Preference will be given to individuals with professional experience in a forensic laboratory setting who can demonstrate evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching. Familiarity with FEPAC accreditation guidelines is desired. A diverse background, including practical experience in the various disciplines of biology (serology and DNA analysis) is highly preferable.
