Job Summary: Thie position will develop and grow the program, balance research and teaching and maintain a funded research program.

Posting Description: This position will be expected to develop and grow the Construction Engineering and Management (CEM) program, work with the CEM advisory council to develop the curriculum and establish certificate programs, and work with the local construction industry to augment fundraising efforts to grow the CEM endowment. In addition, the successful candidate will have a balanced perspective on research and teaching and will be expected to maintain an active, externally funded research program; conduct high quality research involving students at all levels, leading to sponsored research and refereed publications; advise students; and contribute to Department, College, and University governance and to the profession. The Civil Engineering Department currently has 14 faculty members. The department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering accredited by ABET, a Master of Science degree, a Master of Engineering degree, a PhD degree in Civil Engineering, and a new multidisciplinary PhD degree in Engineering and Applied Science. The department has rapidly been growing in competitive research expenditure that encompasses the National Science Foundation CAREER award and other federal grants. Our faculty and graduate students are involved in the full spectrum of civil engineering research at local, state, and national levels accordingly. Minimum Qualifications: - Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or closely related field - Strong background in Construction Engineering and Management
