Relevant areas include chemical oceanography, stable-isotope and trace-element geochemistry, marine nitrogen and carbon cycling, paleoproxy development, biomineralization, micropaleontology, paleoceanography, paleoclimatology, and high-resolution microanalysis. Candidates using stable isotope and/or trace-element geochemistry to investigate marine carbon, nitrogen, nutrient, or related biogeochemical cycles are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will establish an externally funded research program, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, collaborate with other researchers across the University, contribute to shared analytical facilities, and teach undergraduate and graduate courses based on departmental needs.
