Job Details
ABOUT THE COLLEGE – WEST LOS ANGELES COLLEGE Founded in 1969, West Los Angeles College has served the communities of Culver City and West Los Angeles for more than five decades, growing into a vibrant institution that provides both transfer and career-focused education. Over the years, WLAC has expanded its academic scope to include 18 vocational programs, 25 transfer pathways, and, beginning in 2016, the college received authorization to offer baccalaureate degrees. The College provides associate degrees, certificates, transfer programs, and is one of only 15 California community colleges authorized to offer baccalaureate degrees—currently in Dental Hygiene and Avionics.
The College has also developed a strong reputation for innovation and community partnership, awarding more than 600 degrees and certificates annually across 39 fields. Its evolution reflects WLAC's longstanding commitment to expanding access, responding to workforce needs, and advancing upward mobility for the region's diverse student population.
With a mission rooted in student success, racial equity, social justice, and environmental responsibility, WLAC enriches student learning through quality instruction, comprehensive support services, community partnerships, and career development pathways.
