Responsibilities

The Program Coordinator is responsible for college-level administration, implementation, and facilitation of fiscal programs including student scholarships, fellowships and awards; and faculty awards, fellowships and professorships supported by college-level foundation funds; Technology Fee Resources; and Office of Digital Learning and Academic Technologies (ODL) processes for College of Arts & Sciences (CoAS) units.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Program Director in coordinating, implementing, and facilitating programs for college-level student scholarships, fellowships and awards, faculty awards, faculty fellowships and professorships supported by foundation funds.

  • Administering and processing scholarships awarded by the College.

  • Serving as point of contact for departments on Foundation scholarship processes and as lead role in training the college faculty and staff on FSU's scholarship website/portal.

  • Developing and presenting training programs for assigned program areas in the College.

  • Administering semesterly student payments for Dean's DADE/DDSA programs including processing and tracking payments and serving as point of contact for departments and students.

  • Facilitating Technology Fee Resources program and provides administrative and budgetary support and stewardship of award funds for CoAS units.

  • Facilitating Office of Digital Learning and Academic Technologies (ODL) program and provides administrative and budgetary support and stewardship for CoAS units.

  • Compiling and analyzing statistical and trend data related to CoAS fiscal programs.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.

Preferred Qualifications

An ideal candidate for this position is someone who thrives when working independently and is equally effective while working as a team player. They would also be someone who is flexible, can easily adapt to the fluctuating daily needs of the work unit, is detail-oriented, enjoys problem-solving, and is able to organize tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience include:

  • Experience performing accurately in a detail-oriented environment.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Effective communication skills, including by phone, email, and in-person.

  • Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

  • Ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.

  • Ability to utilize critical thinking skills.

  • Experience compiling, reviewing, and reconciling data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Anticipated Salary Range

Minimum starting salary for the position is in the mid-to-high $40,000s. Anticipated starting salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
