Job Summary

The Program Coordinator in Continuing Education (Continue West) at the University of West Georgia is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs that align with the university¿s strategic and revenue objectives. This role manages course revenue, program timelines, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality learning experiences. Key responsibilities include program development, student recruitment, instructor coordination, and operational oversight. The Program Coordinator will also support youth initiatives, summer camps, and healthcare-related programs, including Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.), Patient Tech, and Surgical Tech programs. This position plays a pivotal role in program expansion, enrollment growth, and continuous improvement, ensuring the seamless execution of educational initiatives. This role requires occasional travel to support off-site projects and program-related initiatives.

Responsibilities

1 -
Program Development & Curriculum Management -
Conduct needs assessments to identify educational gaps and develop course offerings.
Design and structure learning objectives, course content, and instructional delivery methods.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and faculty to create engaging, high-quality curricula.
Evaluate and refine course materials to enhance learning effectiveness and program outcomes.

Program Marketing & Student Recruitment -
Develop marketing materials and communication strategies to promote program offerings.
Establish and maintain relationships with external partners and community organizations to drive enrollment.
Conduct market research to identify new course topics and expansion opportunities.
Implement strategies to enhance student recruitment, registration, and retention.

3 -
Operational Coordination & Administrative Support -
Manage program registrations, scheduling, and timelines to ensure efficient program execution.
Coordinate with instructors, facilitators, and program staff to support instructional delivery.
Assist in the planning and administration of summer camps and non-traditional learning programs.
Provide administrative support and contribute to shared departmental responsibilities.
Coordinate logistics for off-site programs and manage travel-related requirements for program execution.

Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement -
Collect, analyze, and interpret data on student learning outcomes and program impact.
Generate reports and provide data-driven recommendations for program enhancements.
Ensure compliance with program objectives, financial goals, and university policies.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field. A minimum of four years experience in a related professional setting. A strong background in student recruitment, marketing, and program promotion is essential, with a proven ability to develop and implement strategies that enhance engagement and increase enrollment. The role requires adaptability, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Master's Degree

Preferred Experience
Experience in program management within an educational or business setting, with demonstrated expertise in scheduling, data analysis, and project coordination. A solid understanding of budgeting and financial planning for program operations is highly desirable. 2-3 years of experience in higher education, marketing, database management, or program management is preferred, as well as experience managing off-site projects, including coordinating logistics and overseeing operations in multiple locations.

Proposed Salary

45,056 - $58,891 annually

Errors in program development, budget management, or compliance with institutional policies could result in financial loss, decreased enrollment, reputational harm, and operational inefficiencies. Mismanagement of program budgets or failure to meet revenue goals could lead to financial losses for the department, while ineffective marketing or recruitment strategies may reduce program participation. Additionally, failure to adhere to institutional, state, or accreditation guidelines could result in compliance violations and potential program disruptions. Errors in scheduling, instructor coordination, or logistical planning may cause class cancellations and inefficiencies, leading to diminished student satisfaction. Poor execution of programs or inadequate customer service could also impact the university¿s reputation and affect future enrollment and partnerships. Given the high level of responsibility, attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and effective decision-making are essential to mitigate risks and maintain program excellence.
