Job Description

The Clinical Supervisor will work in the on-site departmental training clinic for 20 hours per week at Texas A&M University- Central Texas (Community Counseling Family Therapy Center). This position is a temporary position for the summer semester only (June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025).

Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer. The department is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Competent in providing clinical supervision to graduate students (in person and tele-health) on campus in the training clinic.

  • Participates in operational or procedural matters to meet clinic goals and objectives.

  • Participates in evaluation of graduate students.

  • Provides leadership for the clinic along with and in absence of the Director/Assistant Director

  • Provides daily and weekly clinical supervision and guidance to teams of counselors and therapists in training.

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree.

  • Three years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years post graduate experience in community mental health, private practice, or other related clinical experience including therapy services and program management.

  • Approved Supervisor credential

    Knowledge/Skills:

    • Knowledge of counseling and supervision practice, telehealth, word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

    • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding.

    Licensing / Professional Certification

    • Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas (must carry license by start date of employment)

    Supervision of Others:

    This position provides clinical supervision to clinical mental health counseling graduate students, school counseling graduate students and marriage and family therapy graduate students.
