Miami Dade College (MDC) is seeking a highly organized and strategic Project Manager for the Florida Charter Institute (FCI). In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Duties & ResponsibilitiesProject Oversight & Compliance
- Manage the preparation, review, and execution of Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with deadlines and deliverables.Oversee grant objectives, ensuring timely completion and proper documentation as required by contracts.Direct and oversee all project aspects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards while providing strategic guidance and resolving high-level challenges.
Stakeholder Support & Communication
- Serve as a key point of contact for charter schools, responding to inquiries, assigning tasks to appropriate team members, and ensuring timely resolution of requests.Organize and post webinars, podcasts, and virtual events to share valuable information and best practices with charter school stakeholders.Develop and distribute a monthly newsletter featuring updates, success stories, and upcoming events in the charter school community.Engage with school leaders and stakeholders via social media, fostering collaboration and highlighting FCI resources and events.
Resource Development & Professional Learning
- Lead the creation of high-quality resources, documents, and tools that support charter school operations, instructional practices, and compliance requirements.Design compelling presentations for professional development sessions, conferences, and workshops.Utilize team content, online courses, and professional development opportunities to enhance charter school staff and leadership training.
Project Management & Administrative Support
- Monitor and maintain a project management platform to ensure successful completion of tasks related to grants and contracts.Plan and coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, and conferences, ensuring seamless execution.Maintain a well-organized email distribution list and develop professional email communications.Oversee calendar management, schedule appointments, and prepare detailed meeting agendas.Provide administrative and technical support to consultants and administrators within FCI.Strategize and oversee travel arrangements to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field with three (3) years of project management experience, preferably in education or government contracts; or Bachelor’s degree with seven (7) years of relevant experience.Expertise: Strong knowledge of project management, education administration, grant compliance, and stakeholder engagement.Technology: Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, WordPress, and Constant Contact preferred.Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Diversity & Inclusion: Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment with students, faculty, and staff.

Additional Requirements
This is a temporary grant funded position through December 31, 2026, contingent upon grant or funding and grant extensions.
This grant position will be eligible for participation in the Florida Retirement System (FRS) after 6 consecutive months of continuous employment.
