Florida State University will soon embark on its next comprehensive campaign. As the silent phase of the campaign begins, the Division of University Advancement is accelerating the hiring of additional Advancement Services professionals campus-wide and is excited to build out its team. Responsibilities

The Advancement Recruiting Manager is responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract top talent for the Division of University Advancement. As a key partner to hiring managers in candidate sourcing and recruitment, the Manager will support a comprehensive and strategic approach to talent acquisition.

In collaboration with University Human Resources, the position will provide full-cycle management of recruiting and hiring, leading the division’s efforts to identify and engage pools of prospective employees, and partnering with hiring managers in the recruitment, interview, and hiring process to ensure a positive candidate experience.

Candidate Sourcing and Engagement

  • Support the creation and implementation of a comprehensive recruitment strategy aligned with the division's hiring needs and goals.
  • Attend conferences, career fairs and other networking events to identify and develop relationships with prospective employees.
  • Identify high-impact digital platforms or other resources for advertising open positions and sourcing candidates.
  • As needed, support external firms for national searches.
  • Cultivate a future talent pipeline through an internship program focused on providing broad exposure to Advancement career paths and aligning internships with organizational need.
  • Manage an annual recruitment budget.

Recruitment Process Management

  • Work collaboratively with partners in University Human Resources to learn and follow policies and procedures for recruitment and hiring.
  • Review resumes and conduct initial interviews to identify qualified candidates.
  • Assist in the coordination of on-campus interviews with hiring managers and interview panels or committees.
  • Manage the candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, including the support of proactive communication with candidates, and maintaining ongoing communication with exceptional candidates who are prospects for other current or future opportunities.
  • Conduct reference checks and extend job offers in accordance with FSU policies and procedures.
  • Provide periodic training to hiring managers on recruitment and hiring best practices.

Talent Management Operations

  • Track recruitment metrics such as candidate quality, conversion rates, and time-to-hire.
  • Analyze recruitment data to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare reports on recruitment activities and results for hiring managers and division leaders.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and four years of experience related to administrative services; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience related to administrative services. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)

A valid FL or GA Driver's License or the ability to obtain.
