Context 

Epistemology, as a complementary branch of the metaphysics of science, within the philosophy of science, offers us a demonstrative approach and a rigorous framework for assessing the truth values of scientific productions, both today and in the past. Beyond the sciences, the principles of epistemology can be applied to any system based on formal logic, enabling us to determine and prioritize the truth values of production in the humanities and social sciences, as well as in law.

Supervision 

The Full or Associate Professor will be placed under the supervision of the two co-directors of the ACPPS Research Center, Professor Ali BENMAKHLOUF and Assistant Professor Abdelouahab RGOUD.

Job description:

The ACPPS-UM6P Research Center has an opening for a Full or Associate Professor position (starting October 2025) in the research field of epistemology and philosophy of sciences, or in Arabic classical philosophy. The Full or Associate Professor will be responsible for coordinating the research project within their field of expertise. In coordination with the two co-directors, they will oversee the recruitment of future PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in their area of expertise, the organization of the center s scientific events (workshops, seminars, conferences, etc.), and the supervision of researchers under their guidance. The recruited researcher will specialize in epistemology and/or philosophy of sciences and/or Arabic classical philosophy.



Selection

Applicants send a full CV, a motivation letter (1 page), a sample of academic writing (article, term paper, or chapter of book max 30 pages), a research statement (1 to 2 pages), two letters of recommendation, and full transcripts for academic transcripts for their previous studies. The preselected candidates will be contacted and interviewed. 



The work will be carried out within a dynamic group of over ten researchers working on the theme of Arabic classical philosophy and philosophy of sciences. The campus is new, near Marrakech in the city of Ben Guerir, and offers public facilities and accommodation for doctoral students.

Profiles 

Candidates must have a previews assistant or associate professor position. Further helpful factors on candidate CV s would be a demonstrated ability carry out research, publish articles in international journals, and real world professional experience working on collective intelligence related themes.
