Job Summary:

Interiors Planning/Production:

– Determine appropriate materials based upon budget, university standards, and conditions.

– Research and investigate products to determine usability, adaptability, and compatibility of products in the project.

– Must be capable of formulating a design plan, code review, and it’s order of magnitude estimated cost for projects in the range of $80,000 – $250,000.

Graphic Design and Presentation:

– Prepare perspectives by CADD or conventional methods and assemble color finish boards for the purpose of illustrating design concepts.

– Assemble presentation boards, binders or electronic media for project fund-raising purposes and special events.

– Research standards and selection criteria for aesthetic and functional compliance for recommended adoption.

Management of resource center for interior furnishing and finishes:

– Review products and consult with manufacturer’s consultants or sales representatives.

– Request samples and update description literature.

– Maintain and up-to- date organized library of movable equipment, fixed equipment, materials, and finishes.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design.

Five years of related work experience.

NCIDQ Certified (or obtain within two years hire) 

Registered Interior Designer (or obtain within two years of hire) with the State of Oklahoma Board of Governors of Licensed Architects, Landscape Architects, and Interior Designers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Interior Design

CADD experience in interior design, with 3D presentation skills a plus.

Registered with the State of Oklahoma Board of Governors of Licensed Architects, Landscape Architects, and Interior Designers.

LEED AP/LEED Certification knowledge.

Well AP/LEED Building Standard knowledge.

Green Globes knowledge.
