(Contingent upon available funding): 17.00 - 22.25, Hourly Work Schedule: Typically, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary:
This position will assist in the fulfillment of institutional goals and policies, as guided by relevant laws, related to disability services. The primary responsibilities will be: administrative support; transition activities related to outreach; and transition activities related to orientation. [“Transition” here used is referring to the transition of individuals with disabilities from the K-12 or workforce settings to higher education.] This includes: assisting with communication, intakes, and processing; assisting with and helping to coordinate recruitment and orientation activities; and assisting with the facilitation of programming to support students and faculty with transition-related needs.
First point of contact with individuals whose emotions may be heightened.Both in-state and out-of-state travel may be necessary to provide and/or receive training. Typical work hours fall between Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but some evening and weekend hours may be required.

High School/GED
Four years of relevant work experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience.
Oral and written communication skills. Functional knowledge of computer and communication systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
Two (2) years work experience in higher education. Knowledge of disability laws (Section 504 and ADA) and best practices for implementation. Experience working with individuals with disabilities. Experience with crisis management. Experience working with confidential materials. Experience with teaching/public speaking.
Proficient use of data and project management systems; high level of organizational skill;
