The E-Learning Support Specialist serves as the first and primary contact for inquiries and support needs regarding products created and supported by the Center for Public Management E-Business Group by answering calls and responding to tickets. Products supported include Learning Management.

Systems, online-courseware, assessment tools, websites, and other e-learning related technologies. Other duties include training clients how to use the different tools as well as create support documentation.

Duties: 

  • Assists in planning, monitoring, resolving problems, and coordinating operations and service delivery and provides customer contact in a call center.
  • Coordinates and applies program guidelines to project delivery.
  • Responds to calls and tickets by researching and presenting the best solution to resolve client issues.
  • Performs research functions, analyzes data, and provides customer service and support.
  • Assists in the planning and delivery of operational activities and services.
  • Identifies discrepancies and resolve problems.
  • Tests Learning Management Systems and other web-based products for quality control and best practices.
  • Prepares, reviews, and maintains detailed records and reports to measure project activities.
  • Participates on work teams to develop project goals and support materials.
  • Establishes and maintains professional internal and external relationships.
  • Trains clients in the processes and functions of the different products CPM provides, including the Learning Management Systems.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position. 


Job Location

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED, AND: 

  • 18 months experience in data analysis, project coordination, or related experience.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to research information to obtain an answer or solution to a problem in a timely manner

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and talk for prolonged periods.
  • Hand and finger dexterity.
  • Engage in repetitive motion of the wrist, hand, and fingers.
  • Standard Office Environment.

Departmental Preferences:

  • 6+ months experience with an LMS
