The Collegiate School at FSU Panama City is a developmental research laboratory charter school associated with the College of Education at Florida State University. In this capacity, TCS serves as a center for innovative instructional programming, research and program evaluation, and professional development solutions for the educational community. TCS will begin its third year of operation in August 2025, welcoming an additional 100 9th-grade students while promoting its founding class to 11th grade and current 9th-graders to 10th grade.
The mission of The Collegiate School at Florida State University Panama City is to provide rigorous academic studies and career development for students who aspire to meet the ever-changing and complex workplace demands of the 21st century. Resources and expertise available through Florida State University and the local community will prepare students to thrive in the competitive global market as they identify and pursue career goals through academic and career training.
Responsibilities- The instructor is responsible for planning and conducting classes for the Collegiate School students in the assigned subject area and for academic advising and related activities to the subject area.
- Instructor will continuously monitor student progress to meet academic needs and determine learning progress, communicating proactively with families.
- The instructor will participate in professional development and research as required and aligned with The Collegiate School's mission as a developmental research charter lab school. Attendance is required at staff conferences and curriculum development activities, as well as involvement in action research, creative endeavors, and service.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or the subject area of science (biology, chemistry, environmental science, engineering, or equivalent).
- Florida Teacher Certification in the content area or a Certificate of Eligibility.
- Master’s degree in education, content area of the position, or a related field.
- Experience as innovative instructors who can develop a shared vision as leaders in the content area.
- Ability to flex with challenges, be forward thinkers, and possess a desire to seek innovative solutions that impact student achievement.
The Collegiate School at Florida State University Panama City (TCS) seeks compelling, innovative, engaging, and enthusiastic science instructors. We invite applications for these full-time positions to begin the 2025-2026 school year. These instructors will join the faculty of The Collegiate School at FSU Panama City, which is in its third year of operation and aims to provide collegiate studies and career readiness to students in the Bay County area.
