POSITION DESCRIPTION: POSITION DESCRIPTION: POSITION DESCRIPTION: Campus Rec Associates oversee the day-to-day operations of the Moore Family Fitness Center and Moore Basketball Gym. Campus Rec Associates serve participants by providing clean and organized fitness and recreation spaces and equipment, ensuring participant safety through supervision, and offering assistance to patrons during their visit. This position reports directly to the Campus Rec Manager.
Area Specific Responsibilities:
Area Specific Responsibilities: Area Specific Responsibilities:Work in both the Moore Family Fitness Center and the Moore Basketball Gym Properly check-in patrons for the fitness center/gym Enforce fitness center can gym policies and procedures Ensure the safety of patrons Develop a strong base-line level of fitness knowledge Guide patrons in proper use of equipment Spot patrons and make spotting decisions based on educated judgment Provide quality customer service Provide accurate information and refer patrons to other services Maintain a presentable atmosphere through thorough cleaning of equipment and facilities Re-rack weights, placing them in the designated space Check equipment and facilities for wear and signs of damage Report broken equipment or damages in facilities First responder in emergency situations Remaining accountable; timeliness and completing the designated work for each shift Other duties as assigned Campus Rec Team Member Responsibilities: Campus Rec Team Member Responsibilities: Campus Rec Team Member Responsibilities: Develop professional relationships with co-workers, participants and guests Uphold and exceed the expectations of the accountability, anticipating needs, attitude, and atmosphere Demonstrate a desire to learn and apply knowledge as a Campus Rec ambassador Take ownership of the facilities and programs by exhibiting a responsible work ethic Promote and maintain cleanliness and appearance within and surrounding both facilities Enforce policies and procedures to promote participant safety and satisfaction Respond to all emergency situations and adhere to established protocol including pre- and post- incident procedures Requirements/Qualifications: Requirements/Qualifications: Requirements/Qualifications: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred Must be willing to start working opening, closing, and/or weekend shifts Must be able to commit to at least 10 hours per week Must be able to safely lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly
