Job Description Summary

Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor or Assistant/Associate Lecturer (non tenure-track) to provide quality teaching in Finance at the undergraduate level, advise students, and provide service to the profession and University. This position will begin in the fall semester of 2025.

Job Description

The Department of Finance consists of 18 full-time faculty in the Finance and Real Estate areas and three faculty in the area of Business Legal Studies. There are over 1,600 students majoring in Finance, with over 400 graduates per year in Finance. In addition, the department also has a Real Estate program with approximately 80 majors and supports both Finance and Real Estate minors. The department values high quality teaching and research. Minimum Requirements:

Required:

• For appointment as an Assistant Teaching Professor, applicants must have a doctorate in finance, or closely related field by date of appointment. 
• For appointment as an Associate Teaching Professor, applicants must have a doctorate in finance, or closely related field by date of appointment and have a minimum of 5 years of related experience (teaching and/or professional) with at least two years of full-time teaching experience.
• For appointment as an Assistant Lecturer, applicants must have a master’s degree in finance or closely related field by date of appointment.
• For appointment as an Associate Lecturer, applicants must have a master’s degree in finance or closely related field by date of appointment and have a minimum of 5 years of related experience (teaching and/or professional) with at least two years of full-time teaching experience.

​Consideration may be given to candidates with demonstrated quality collegiate teaching experience and those with significant and meaningful professional experience in Finance.
