(Contingent upon available funding): 0.00 - 0.00, Commensurate with education and experience Work Schedule: M-F 8a-5p; occasional nights/weekends Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: The Crisis Counselor position at University Counseling Services is an integral part of the UCS team. The primary goal is to provide crisis/emergency intervention to students who are in emotional distress and need immediate supportive services.The staff member will perform administrative duties, provide emergency/crisis intervention, provide consultation to members of the university community, provide educational outreach programs, and periodically have the opportunity to supervise practicum and intern graduate students.Position requires some evening and weekend work, including on-call emergency stand-by after regular office hours and on weekends.Note: This is an annual 10 month full-time appointment: August 1st thru May 31st. Special Instructions to Applicants 10 month staff appointment. Hiring Range: $4,583.33 - $6,791.67/monthly. Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling or a related field
Experience in outpatient clinical counseling either through an education degree program or professional work.
Oklahoma license eligible as a Counselor or Licensed Professional Counselor by the end of the second year of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. / Ed.D. in Psychology, Counseling or a related field
Three years professional experience in outpatient counseling.
One year of related experience in a university counseling center
Oklahoma license eligible as a psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist. License must be obtained prior to hire and maintained throughout employment.
