This Adjunct Faculty member teaches Medical Assisting courses.

Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teaches in lecture, laboratory and/or clinical settings
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Participates in departmental and College affairs
  • Develops curricula
  • Recruits students
  • Serves on committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate's degree and Valid National Licensure in Medical Assisting and / or Licensure in a Healthcare field (e.g., Nursing; Physician; Emergency Medical Services; Physician Assistant) and three (3) years of full-time work and/or instructional experience in a Healthcare field (e.g. Nursing; Physician; Emergency Medical Services; Medical Assisting; Physician Assistant).
  • All educational degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions
  • Current licensure as Medical Assistant or licensure in related health care field
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include morning, evening and/or weekend assignments
  • Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off-campus offering sites
Additional Requirements

The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
