The Division of Pain Medicine at Stanford University, within the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine, is seeking a highly skilled Facial Pain and Complex Headache Specialist to join our team at any rank in the Clinician Educator Line. This position addresses the growing need for subspecialty care in facial pain and complex headache, the second most common chronic pain condition, across the Bay Area.
The major criterion for appointment as a Clinician Educator is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative responsibilities, and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

The expected base pay range for this position is:
- Clinical Instructor: $404,000
- Clinical Assistant Professor: $417,000 – $427,000
- Clinical Associate Professor: $440,000 – $450,000
- Clinical Professor: $462,000 – $483,000
This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs. Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position.
