Camp Recky Overview:

Through sport and recreation, campers will gain confidence in themselves while learning 21st century skills such as taking initiative, problem solving, and critical thinking. By attending Camp Recky your child will have the opportunity to be their true camp self!  In a safe and inclusive environment, our campers will have the opportunity to make friends and form positive bonds at camp that will last a lifetime.

Job Duties:

  • During month of May plan specific, weekly, full day camp curriculum for each age group to reflect camp goals and themes.

  • Sets and supervises camp opening and closing day procedures for campers and staff.

  • Will be present at camp in the morning while afternoons will consist of planning time, along with “Management by Walking Around” techniques.

  • Determines specific camp equipment and supply needs in a timely manner.

  • Prepares supplies for daily activities.

  • Uses personal creativity and experiences and seeks out resources to provide activities which stimulate learning and creativity amongst campers.

  • Plans and executes weekly camp field trips when applicable including transportation, fees, schedule, etc.

  • Coordinates camp schedule with Camp Recky Directors

  • Oversees execution of camp curriculum by camp counselors

  • Maintains organization of supplies and equipment

  • Is accessible to staff by being out with the groups during their activities and programs.

  • Communicates with parents daily, handles camper incidents.

  • Oversees behavior management of campers and maintains behavior records for their camp.

  • Attends weekly all staff meetings.

  • Assists with camp staff training.

  • Fill in when needed for absent staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years/summers of camp experience required.

  • 1-2 years/summers of experience planning activities required.

  • Ability to pass a background check

  • Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED and First Aid certification (will be provided at camp)

  • Previous camp or Camp Recky experience

  • 1-2 years/summers of supervisory experience

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday 9:00-4:00pm

  • Max hours: 35

$15.00
