OVERVIEW & HIGHLIGHTS
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as an Executive Assistant IV. The Executive Assistant serves as executive support staff to the Chancellor, performing confidential and specialized administrative duties for the District; fosters cooperative working relationships and acts as liaison between the Chancellor and Governing Board Office (GGBO) and the internal and external Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District (District) communities. Type of position: Full-Time - Monday - Friday
Anticipated Start Date: March/April 2025
Salary: Range C-J
$39.54 - $58.45 Hourly
$6,853 - $10,131 Monthly (based on 40 hours per week)
Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($39.54 per hour) or B ($41.52 per hour) on the salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination of training and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. Following is a typical way to demonstrate the required qualifications: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and five (5) years of increasingly responsible and varied office management or administrative support experience (preferably assisting an executive or senior-level administrator). Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability backgrounds of community college students and employees.
This classification is designated as a Senior Classified Administrative Employee in accordance with the provisions of Education Code Section 88091(c)(1) and the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District Rules and Regulations for the Classified Service section 3.3(b). As such, in accordance with section 3.3(b)(1), the incumbent "shall continue to be afforded all of the rights, benefits and burdens of any other classified employee serving in the regular service of the district, except they shall not attain permanent status in an executive secretarial position or that administrative position" and instead will be employed on a contractual basis with the district.Please click here (Download PDF reader)to view the complete job description.
