Duties:Under general direction, the System Administrator is responsible for ensuring the performance and reliability of the College’s enterprise systems. Participates in the installation, maintenance, training, and support of all operating system software and hardware, and related products for the college’s servers. Responsible for pre-installation activities of purchased software and pre-installation of vendor releases. In addition, has responsibility for developing software standards, capacity planning, and allocation of system resources for use by institutional products.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with security of application and operating system software and related products supported by Enterprise Applications unit. Monitors and maintains performance metrics for system features. Recommends and takes corrective/preventive action. Assist with administration of databases that are related to or part of the college’s enterprise systems including DBA functions, as well as other duties as assigned.
The System Administrator is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.
• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited university.
• Minimum of two (2) years relevant IT experience required.
• Must have demonstrated analytical ability to logically approach applications.
• Experience with Colleague ERP system a plus

- Demonstrated knowledge of Enterprise class operating systems (Windows) and relevant network services (Windows Server, MS SQL)
- Demonstrated knowledge of third-party applications used by various departments in a higher education environment such as enterprise information platform system, e-business software, and others.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent service and able to work in a diverse group of campus community and IT.
- General knowledge of SAN technologies.
- Basic knowledge of SQL database administration functions, Azure AD, Linux.
- Ability to perform SQL queries.
- Excellent communication skills.

*Hybrid remote opportunities may be available as applicable after a probationary period. Employees must be a resident of IL/IN or reciprocal state. This is not a fully remote position.
On call 24 hours a day – 7 days a week
$59,770-$79,945
