Duties:Under the direction of the Dean of Academic Services, the Curriculum Manager performs curriculum and academic services duties. The Curriculum Manager is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning. The Curriculum Manager maintains all documentation for the college’s curriculum activities, and reports. The Manager supports the curriculum development process by working with faculty, department chairs, and deans to provide attention and oversight in completing forms and ensuring appropriate documentation for the approval and revision of courses and programs.
Duties include:
1. Serves as liaison and resource to faculty, staff, management, and external representatives on curriculum requirements. Works collaboratively with faculty, staff, and leadership to advise and ensure curricular development aligns with the strategic needs of the College and complies with the rules and policies of the state and MVCC requirements through research and analysis.2. In collaboration with the Dean, consults and advises on curriculum design and development in alignment with College and program goals, transferability, and assessment and serves on committees as needed.3. Provides primary support for degree and certificate process; helps faculty craft degree, certificate, and course proposals. Serves as the first reviewer of submitted course proposals; provides feedback to submitting faculty, departments, and committees.4. Works collaboratively with other stakeholders including the Registrar’s office to ensure that catalog publication, and graduation requirements, software system needs are met and in compliance with all related requirements.5. Uses multiple software programs and platforms to review and manage curriculum proposals, curriculum forms, and requested changes prior to the Dean’s review.6. Maintains official college records of all courses and curricula taught at the institution.7. Ensures accurate records of official course syllabi using curriculum software and, in collaboration with secretary, is responsible for the processing of paperwork and maintaining computer databases, including updating the college’s system for curriculum changes and additions once approved by the State.8. Chairs/Co-chairs the curriculum committee and facilitates curriculum meetings9. Keeps the College informed of curriculum changes. Disseminates information to the college community of all curriculum and course additions, revisions, and withdrawals by email and within the curriculum pages in the Portal.10. Co-lead the Program Review process with Dean. Assist in the planning, review and compilation of program review reports. Review and provide timely feedback on reports.11. Supports the curricular aspects of the accreditation process. Reviews academic program materials for compliance with state and MVCC regulations and guidelines.12. Prepares annual report of all course and curriculum additions, revisions, and withdrawals processed during each fiscal year.13. Ensure entered curriculum changes into the catalog system and works closely with the Dean to ensure the accurate and timely publishing of the academic catalog.14. Assist the Dean with project management and facilitation for curriculum development projects involving faculty, college deans, and external partners. Supports College initiatives related to new program development and program alignment with student success initiatives.15. Coordinates the preparation and dissemination of a variety of related reports and publications for the College.16. Assists with coordinating tasks for staff and student workers as needed.17. Works with the Scheduling team as needed to make updates to class sections.18. Performs other job-related duties, as assigned.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience and/or broad experience with curriculum processes and/or platforms required, preferably in a higher education setting. Please ensure this is reflected in resume.
- Master’s degree and college teaching experience preferred.

In addition to the education and experience required, qualifications include: experience and proficiency with computer applications and ability to use various department-specific software programs; effective and professional oral and written communication and presentation skills; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective and collegial working relationships with diverse faculty, staff, and administration across the college; maintain good organizational skills in order to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously; have keen attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential material and maintain confidence.
