Job Summary

The Academic Coach will provide assistance to students with achieving academic success. This position is part of the College's Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). The Academic Coach will assist students by identifying solutions for a range of academic and support needs. Academic Coaches will provide ongoing support for student throughout the semester, including one-on-one meetings, group meetings, workshops, and other effective strategies with the overall goal of improving student success.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the QEP Academic Coach include: Planning and executing coaching sessions; Maintaining updated records (i.e., written and electronic) of activities and student progress at various points in the semester; Assessment of coaching effectiveness and creating new strategies for improvement; Oral presentations in meetings on coaching activities and scheduling weekly QEP sessions; Creating/disseminating QEP Reports of Academic Coaching Activities; Participation in Academic Coach Training.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: Proficient with MS Office Products; strong written and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Academic Coaching

Student Advising

Proposed Salary

$2,500 per semester.
