Job Description Summary / TWC Summary:Reporting to the Dean, the Associate Dean of Admissions plans, directs, and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Admission Office staff. Performs advance management functions to ensure the effective development and achievement of strategic goals and objectives for the department.
Essential Duties Summary:- Develops, approves, and implements operating policies, procedures and/or guidelines for a forward-thinking, best practice admissions process. Provides internal controls. Monitors and ensures compliance with ABA, University, federal and state policies, and regulations.
- Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of the Admissions Office staff. Coordinates with and manages Admissions Committee. Has dotted line authority and provides oversight over law school financial aid. Directs and approves various personnel actions including problem resolution, performance evaluation, training, and vacation schedules.
- Determines priorities, needs and requirements of the admission office for effective implementation and achievement of the Law School goals. Identifies innovated approaches to enhance effectiveness of admissions office.
- Strategizes, develops, and implements comprehensive recruitment and marketing plans in consultation with the Dean and with collaboration of admissions staff.
- Supervises the development, preparation and dissemination of reports and information. Reviews and analyzes trends and patterns. Reports demographic and statistical data to dean and other constituencies.
- Identifies staff development and training requirements. Ensures staff attends appropriate training workshops and seminars.
- Manages departmental budget to include oversight and approval of travel policies, recruiting travel budget and expenses.
- Produces predictive modeling reports and provides simulations to inform and establish, in coordination with the Dean of the Law School, a yearly scholarship award matrix based on historical and gathered institutional and national data.
- Liaises with various University departments and offices, such as Information Technology, Bursars, Financial Aid, Veterans’ Affairs, Enrollment Services, and Registrar.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range:$98,509.22 - $128,061.99
Education:Advanced degree and a minimum of five (5) years in law school admissions, preferably at the level of senior admissions officer.
Juris doctorate or terminal degree in related field preferred.

- Federal, State, Local, and County laws.
- ABA Admission Standards; Policies, procedures, and practices.
- Proficient with data collection and analysis within the “admissions funnel” through LSAC and ACES2.

Diversified experience in higher education, preferably in the areas of student services, financial aid, and registrar, data collection and analysis, and admissions software (LSAC ACES2).
