(Contingent upon available funding): 13.50 - 20.00, Hourly Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, weekends and evenings as needed Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: This position will provide quality customer service for a diverse group of internal and external customers. One of the main duties of this position will be to process training records for Oklahoma Emergency Responders. Assists with communications regarding events and conferences held within the state. Maintains records in compliance with privacy policies and FERRPA regulations. Assists with general office duties, travel reimbursements, p-card purchases, as well as making lodging arrangements for travel.This position services as front line customer service for the department; including greeting visitors to the offer, answering incoming calls to the main office, routing calls in order to answer the specific needs of the caller, taking phone messages as needed, as well as taking information for registration of programs. The applicant must be able to present a positive and professional manner with customers.The specialist will also work directly with off-site instructors, helping with clerical duties as well as the electronic form processing of the University. The chosen applicant must have the skills and abilities to assist spreadsheets and basic university accounting processes. Required Qualifications:
High School/GED
1 year of clerical/customer service experience. Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.
Valid driver’s license
Must have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft applications. Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work well in a diverse environment and handle confidential documents.
Preferred Qualifications:
Clerical/Vocational Technical
Eight years or more of clerical experience dealing directly with the public and two years of database experience, including data entry. Some knowledge of FERPA regulations.
