Responsibilities

The Office of the University Registrar is a unit within the Division of Enrollment Management, which is comprised of four distinct units: Office of Admissions, Office of the University Registrar, Office of Financial Aid, and Technology Operations. Enrollment Management’s integrated services provide distinctive support throughout the student's development and progression in their academic experience – from recruitment through commencement. Through collaboration, communication, and commitment, all units within Enrollment Management achieve the highest level of student-centered service to current and prospective students and families and to campus partners across the University.

Responsible for providing customer support to students and visitors in the Academic Services section within the Office of the University Registrar. This position is also responsible for coordinating High School Dual Enrollment and the FAMU/FSU cooperative program.

Position is responsible for providing student centered support to students and visitors for the Office of the University Registrar. Assists students with enrollment adjustments including drop/add, program/plan stack corrections, pass/fail requests, grade changes and major changes in accordance with University policy and procedures. Makes determinations of adjustments occurring after published deadlines. Assists with degree and enrollment verifications and other certification requests.

Manages High School Dual Enrollment and the FAMU/FSU Cooperative program. This includes admitting and registering students, and posting grades. Coordinates with other departments, university staff, and prospective students for these programs.

Serves as a backup for the Transcript Services section assisting students/alumni in person, by phone, email, and faxed requests and assists with other responsibilities as assigned. Assists other sections during peak times.

Assists in the review and evaluation of policies and procedures, making suggestions and recommendations to the senior leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and one year of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and seven years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to seven years.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of experience related to the responsibilities of the job are preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and works well independently as well as in a team.
  • Ability to review, analyze, formulate, and organize data and information and follow through on assignments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and possess a strong sense of initiative while managing multiple responsibilities concurrently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Anticipated Salary Range

Anticipated salary range for this position is around $44,056.80 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
