Normal Work Schedule: Varies; 4:00am to 12:30pm, 7:00am to 3:30pm, 3:30pm to 12:00am
Job Summary: The Custodial Team Lead provides guidance and leadership to custodians in the performance of day-to-day duties. Performs routine manual work in housekeeping and cleaning of interior spaces and immediate exterior areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, polishes and dusts furniture, and cleans restrooms, windows, blinds, mirrors, etc. in buildings across campus.
Additional Department Summary: Must drive from site to site.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of custodial experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: General Expectations Must have ability to complete all tasks on custodian's building task lists, as well as all general cleaning; Provides quality customer service; Demonstrates caring behavior by utilizing positive interpersonal skills; Provides helpful and friendly assistance in a timely manner; Responds to inquires in a timely, efficient manner. Must meet regular attendance requirements; Must work overtime as scheduled; Closely observes and adheres to all safety rules and regulations as listed on product and equipment labels and as directed by management; Leaves work site clean and orderly; Insures that all tools and equipment are cleaned and materials are secured; Must accomplish the essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodations, in a timely manner; Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Final candidate must submit to and successfully pass a post offer drug test.
Preferred Qualifications: Supervisory/work leadership experience.
