JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Academic Affairs Business Services, the Financial Assistant 1 position completes administrative and financial transactions for the Academic Affairs Business Services Center and assigned departments supported by the Business Services Center. The incumbent will also support financial projects as assigned by the Assistant Director of Academic Affairs Business Services. The incumbent will address private, controversial, and highly sensitive data, coupled with the requirement to coordinate multiple projects with accuracy and short timelines, and will require a high level of independent troubleshooting and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Provides financial, payroll, and administrative support for assigned area(s).
2) Collaborates effectively with assigned areas
3) Supports the Assistant Director of Academic Affairs Business Services to develop internal procedures, assist with team coverage, and complete financial projects as needed.

APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a full-time, in-person position. Other rights, terms, and conditions of employment are contained in the collective bargaining agreement between the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut Professional Employees Association (UCPEA).
