The Office of Student Accounts is seeking to hire a Senior Accounting Assistant (Temp) to provide exceptional customer service and support advanced clerical accounting tasks.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
This position is responsible for managing Salesforce case responses, handling document imaging, and processing department mail and emails with accuracy and efficiency.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Oversee Accounts Receivable Document Imaging Workflow: Manage the end-to-end processing of all Accounts Receivable records for document imaging. This includes understanding the workflows and procedures of each Student Account unit, as well as receiving, coding, scanning, and indexing documents such as third-party billing authorizations/invoices, detailed program deposit code requests, delinquent balance payment plans, and petitions. Maintain and update written procedures and training materials regularly to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Analyze and Resolve Accounts Receivable Issues: Address and resolve both basic and complex inquiries related to accounts receivable. Provide guidance and solutions to Student Financial Services staff and academic departments regarding student account concerns.
- Manage Departmental Emails and Customer Service Queue: Monitor, handle, and appropriately route inbound departmental emails. Serve as the primary customer service lead for the Student Account Salesforce queue, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
- Ensure Timely and Accurate Completion of Work: Ensure all Student Accounts inquiries, including mail processing, are responded to accurately within the identified SLA.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma and a minimum of two years of relevant office experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Intermediate MS Excel knowledge, strong organizational skills and great attention to detail.
- Must be able to prioritize workload and complete assignments.
- Proven experience in an office environment.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a strong ability to write business communications effectively.
