Salary: Competitive salary of $45,000 - $58,000 with great benefits!

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 am - 3:45 pm **Shift subject to change**

The Building Maintenance Department is seeking (1) an Facilities Coordinator - M&O to join the already awesome team, taking the Building Maintenance Department to the next level of excellence!

    The ideal candidate will provide the needed administrative and logistical support as required to ensure the areas of responsibility detailed below and any additionally identified areas of the department are appropriately maintained and well represented. 

    Assignments will generally fall into one of the following groupings, although overlapping of duties may occur as needed:

  • Provides logistical support required to assist the M&O team as requested.
  • Act as a line of communication and support for various offices.
  • Tracks, generates and maintains reporting and records of all testing, regulatory space and equipment inspections, maintenance team walk-through inspections, MMS reporting, BAS feedback reporting, Zone and Department Purchase orders and other document management as requested.
  • Provide administrative support for and provide oversight of MSS work order system and assists The Facilities Management Customer Service Center personnel with the creation and coordination of work orders and follow up. 
  • Provide administrative support and oversight in the submission, tracking, and subsequent creation of department Purchase Orders. 
  • Works closely with FMSD departments to maintain a constant level of understanding regarding renovations and other projects that could impact staff, faculty, and/ or students.
  • Appropriately inform necessary key personnel of potential impacts utilizing existing systems of information dissemination. 
  • Coordinate and attend meetings, and record meeting minutes/ notes, as requested. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 


  • Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience or a combination of education and related experience.

    Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of intermediate computer operations and software, such as spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and word processing.
    • Effective time management and organizational skills.
    • Practical oral and verbal communication skills with external and internal customers.
    • Ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, and exhibit excellent customer service.

The university announced in April 2008 that is will begin Division I-AA football in 2010.

    The university’s innovative Touch the Earth program brings outdoor recreation ranging from backpacking, rock climbing, sailing, kayaking, rafting and water-skiing to out-of-state snow-skiing and snorkeling trips. And WRAS, Georgia State’s popular 100,000-watt radio voice, is the most powerful student-run radio station in the United States.
