Position Summary:

 

The Department of Economics at the Villanova School of Business seeks to fill a tenure track position in Economics beginning Fall 2025. The rank is Assistant Professor. The fields are Urban Economics and Real Estate.

 

Our hire is expected to teach undergraduate courses for the Department of Economics as well as the Department of Finance and Real Estate. Specifically, courses that need to be covered are Urban Economics and Real Estate Fundamentals, with others determined by departmental needs.

 

The Daniel M. DiLella Center for Real Estate was established to provide outstanding academic and professional development opportunities to Villanova students in the field of commercial real estate. The DiLella Center supports faculty research and teaching, ensuring relevance in the curriculum through the incorporation of site visits, case competitions, experiential learning projects, industry-standard tools and the perspectives of industry experts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The Villanova School of Business is committed to both scholarly research and teaching excellence. In addition to maintaining an active research agenda leading to high quality publications, the appointment involves teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Candidates are expected to have completed their Ph.D. degree before the appointment starts. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to high quality research and possess excellent teaching skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Evidence of strong research potential and teaching excellence are highly valued.
